Shipping Policy

1. Order Processing

  • Cut-off time: Orders received by 2:00 PM AEST Monday–Friday are shipped same business day.
    Orders placed after 2 PM or on weekends/public holidays ship on the next business day.

  • Order confirmation: You’ll receive an email as soon as your order is picked, and another with tracking details when it leaves our warehouse.

3. Free Shipping Options

  • Free standard shipping on ALL orders over $1,000 excl. GST (Australia-wide, metro courier).

 

4. Hazardous & Special-Handling Items

  • Lithium batteries, capacitors, and phosphor-coated tubes incur a mandatory Dangerous Goods surcharge (from $15 per carton).

  • We comply with all DG-shipping regulations (IATA & ADG Code). You’ll be notified of any additional lead time.

 

5. Packaging Standards

  • ESD-safe inner packaging for static-sensitive components.

  • Reinforced cardboard and corner protectors for heavy switchgear and transformers.

  • Biodegradable void fill to minimize waste.

 

6. Tracking & Notifications

  • Tracking link emailed once your parcel is scanned by the carrier.

  • SMS updates available opt in at checkout.

 

7. Delivery Issues & Claims

  1. Inspect on arrival: Check packaging and goods immediately.

  2. Report within 48 hours: Email photos and descriptions of any damage or shortages to enquiries@rkmelectricalsupplies.com.au.

  3. Claims process: We’ll liaise with the carrier, arrange replacements or refunds, and cover return freight on confirmed claims.

 

8. Shipping Restrictions

  • Residential deliveries outside metro Sydney may incur an additional $10 “lift-gate” fee prepaid at checkout.

  • P.O. Boxes: Small items only via Australia Post; bulky goods require a street address.

 

9. International Shipping

  • By arrangement only: Contact our sales team for quotes, Incoterms, duties, and customs clearance.

  • Lead time: Minimum 5 business days ex-warehouse.
